Local artist, Desiree Paquette, is proud to announce the birth of her new booth at a local emporium called Dewey's in Houghton Lake. The booth is stocked with furniture and treasures she has redone, original artwork, prints, creations, art dolls, etc... If you're in town swing in and check it out. Hopefully you'll find something you just love and want to take home.

She will be writing on her Fine Art America blog about her adventure and will posting project tutorials, furniture redos, and other hopefully interesting and informative posts. Join her on this journey by subscribing to the blog.

Mixed Media Artist Desiree Paquette will be presenting her new line of watercolor mixed media pieces at this weekend's Houghton Lake Labor Day Weekend Art Show. The show will be held at the Middle School Campus on M-55 in Houghton Lake. Show hours are Saturday, Sept 1, 2012 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Other collage works, assemblage pieces, and photographic prints will be available at her display as well.

The artwork and photography of local artist Desiree Paquette will be on display and for sale at the Houghton Lake Arts and Crafts Association annual July Art Fair. The show will be held Friday, July 6th, 9 am to 5pm, Saturday, July 7th, 9am to 5pm, and Sunday, July 8th, 10am-4pm at the High School grounds. Desiree will have art and photography prints of various size, assemblage dolls made from recycled goods, clocks, block, magnets, as well as original artwork for sale at the show. Please stop by the tent for a visit if you can make it.
